"Survival Techniques" for Navigating gg designs' Site
|
First, do you want to go to the Catalog or the Gazette or, more recently, the Blog-A-Letter?
It is helpful to bookmark all three.
The Catalog (where you are now) is where all the images gg designs has presented in the Gazette, on line (primarily at Cyberstampers' Conventions) and elsewhere are stored. They are sorted into general categories (see below) and there also is an alphabetical listing and a search engine (bottom of this and many other pages) available.
The Blog-A-Letter is gg designs' newest venture. It features informal discussions of what's happening at gg designs. Kind of an immediate version of the popular Gazette Etc. page where we we show off our kids, grandkids, pets, projects, what have you? In the blog you can leave instant comments on anything being discussed.
The Gazette is where new items, new projects and samples and other current bits of news and information are first introduced. After images have been presented here and produced, they are placed permanently in the Catalog.
The Gazette also houses the Classes & Samples, Early Bird, Etc. (described above) and Sales pages. Content changes frequently, bringing us to:
|
| Survival Technique No. 1--Refresh your browser frequently. As stated above content changes often, sometimes very subtly but it's important when browsing to be sure you've gotten the most current pages. |
Survival Technique No. 2--Browse, don't rush! It was suggested that you come equipped with a cup of your favorite beverage (with a tight lid, please, so you don't spill it on your keyboard) and relax. Enjoy the samples, meet the artists, test out some of the techniques, visit classes and bookmark things you want to return to. And, if you get lost, use your browser's BACK button to find your way out of the ggd maze. |
Survival Technique No. 3--To be sure you don't miss anything, scroll down....all the way down to the bottom of the page! Many pages are much longer than is usually recommended, but be tenacious....it is worth it. |
There is no "Speedy Check Out" lane. If you are looking for a particular image and have no time to browse.
• Survival Technique No. 4--Use the Search Engine located on the front page of the Gazette, on the bottom many pages, and the Search Engine and Index or the Opening Page (this page) of the Catalog. If this doesn't work, write to gg designs and ask. We'll look for it and get back to you ASAP. |
| • Survival Technique No. 5--To purchase stamps.....We are very "low tech" in this department. No shopping cart! No credit cards! Just individual, personal, service. Send an eMail to gg designs with the item(s) you wish to buy. Include price, name/number if known and page on which the item appears. We will check the availability/price/shipping costs and get back to you. You can use Paypal or a check whichever is more convenient for you. We do not keep many stamps on hand but if you want a stamp that is not in stock, we place orders on the 15th of each month. JustRite items have their own Paypal order page. If you want to purchase JustRite items without using Paypal please write to gg designs to make special arrangements. |
And, finally, not a part of the "Survival Technique," just FYI. If you see rubberstampnet.com or ggdesigns.net associated with any of the pages you are browsing, it is OK. gg designs uses both of these domain names. Both get you to the same place, so "not to worry." But, if you find yourself on a page you didn't intend to visit, check the http://www.......address. If it says ggdesign.com, you need to replace it with ggdesigns.net. |
We hope you enjoy your "trip" through gg designs land. The site has grown over time and the collection of works submitted by customers has gotten larger and larger and (we believe) more and more interesting over the, by now, many years it has been in existence. (Where did the time go?) We are unwilling to part with any of these works of (he)art so ask you to bear with us. Browse, savor and come back often. To all who have participated in the growth of this site, accept our many thanks for these very satisfying pages.............gg designs |
