Meet Kathy Welte....
Stamp Artist, Stamp Teacher, member of
Erie Area Paper Arts Club and Avid Collector
I started stamping in 1991 when I began carrying
stamps in my gift shop which I have since closed to have
more time for family and of course stamping.
Kathy Welte presented her first class for gg designs
during the Summer Store of the Week event.

My stamping style has changed drastically since then moving
from cute and crafty to artistic. I have taught several
classes on Dueling Modems and will be teaching Stamping
101 and Paper Weaving during the Cyberstampers Convention.
I especially love to teach new stampers because of the
joy it brings to them. There is nothing like seeing the
face of someone who does not feel they have any talent create
something they are proud of. My favorite stamping techniques
are collage, tag art, dominoes, creating backgrounds and
learning new techniques. I also have taken up stamp carving
which I really enjoy. I hope someday to sell some of my
carvings. You can see some of my Rubber Stamp Art and Soft
Block Carvings at: http://www.PictureTrail.com/katsstamps
, and be sure to sign the Guest Book! I have been married
for 30 years to my dear and supportive husband Elmer. We
live in a small town in North West PA and are both originally
from the outskirts of Pittsburgh where 2 of our children
and our grandson now live. We have 3 children Krysti 29,
Jeremy 26 and Stacy 25 and 1 grandson Nolan 2 who we really
enjoy spending time with. My other interests include home
decorating, gardening, collecting and decorative painting.
Isn't it funny how all of our interests can be incorporated
with stamping
