The
Pine Cone is one of the most popular gg
designs stamps. It seems to encourage lots
of different approaches.

Jayne Watkins sent this sample with a note saying:
I love this stamp!
Thank you Jayne....for the sample and the endorsement.

(Wish I'd thought of that!)

Blackbird's version had the pine cones covered
with dimensional glue...they jump right

This
was Noreen Moller's Christmas Card last year.
It is richly embossed and "sparkles"
like a jewel.
"I'm
glad you liked the card. It was quite simple to
do and easy to make the dozens necessary for Christmas."
She
describes the technique as follows:
Stamped
the pinecone with red pigment ink on black cardstock.
Embossed the image with Judi-kins Eygyptian gold.
Layered onto a piece of gold tissue paper that
had been crumpled and then smooothed out. Attached
to a 5 by 6 1/2 ivory card. Added a bow centered
above the image using ivory and gold organza ribbon.
Thats it! Quick and Easy.
It
LOOKS neither quick, nor easy, just lovely.

Joyce Stewart's Pine Cone. A 3-D embossed effect.

As
most of you know, a scanner can't do justice
to the subtle colors in many of the cards...particularly
those with the muted fall tones and the
embossing and metallic tones used in these
cards.
