PEAR SHADOW EXAMPLE seaasonal, unmounted, rubberstamps

Linda Reid sent along this example of "shadow printing" using three gg designs images. The background is a basket weave design shown on the Autumn Flat (on sale November and December, 2000.)

Below are her directions:

I am attaching a sample of shadow stamping - it's hard to explain - you stamp the background with a pattern or solid stamp in very light thin ink.

Then you stamp your main image on top of it.

I have stamped your basketweave pattern in a pale gold (looks like brown in the picture) and have stamped small solid shapes in pale green. Then I stamped your apple & pear in regular ink on top of that.

Thanks Linda.....looks great!

Linda B's "Bon Voyage" card combines gg designs stamps with several others to create a "Big Apple" theme.

GRAPES TAG Rubber stamps, carved-look, rubberstamps, unmounted

The tag by Marcia Balonis combined clay and stamping . The clay stamped image is placed in position to exactly match the stamped tag image. Very clever idea Marcia!

Both of the samples above are stamped on acetate. Janet Detter Margul (of Dueling Modem's fame) proviced both samples. She's a "Journy(wo)man Acetate Stamper"--likes the technique a lot.

A scan is better than not seeing the card at all, but it cannot handle the color subtleties of Martha Myer's grapes.
